Old Fashioned Pecan Pie Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup white Karo syrup
  • 1/2 cup dark Karo syrup
  • 1 cup MNPG Pecan Halves or Pieces
  • 1/2 cup margarine or unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 unbaked Pie Shell (9 inch)

*Yield: 1-  9 inch pie

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Mix the eggs, sugar, syrups, vanilla, salt and butter together in a bowl.
  • Spread pecan pieces on the bottom of the unbaked pie shell and pour the syrup mixture on the top.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes or until filling is set.  You can check if the pie is done by inserting a knife in the middle of the pie. The knife should come out clean. Enjoy!
