Categories: Recipes, Sweet desserts
Ingredients:
- ½ cup Karo light syrup
- ½ cup Karo dark syrup
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated white sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups MNPG Pecan Pieces or Halves
- 1 cup semisweet or bittersweet chocolate chips
- 1 unbaked Pie Shell (9 inch)
- Optional toppings: Whipped cream, Ice cream
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- In a large bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, melted butter and salt until blended.
- Stir in the pecans and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Pour the above filling into the pie shell. Bake in the oven for about 55-60 minutes, or until the center of the pie is set. Cover the crust with foil halfway through the baking time to prevent edges from browning too quickly.
- Transfer pie to a cooling rack and let cool for at least 1 hour before serving. Enjoy!
